Ted Grob, Owner Savannah Homes, Inc. is owned by Ted Grob and is a real estate development and homebuilding company. Located in Des Moines,Iowa, Savannah Homes, Inc. specializes in affordable and entry level housing in both attached and detached product. Ted graduated from the University of Georgia in 1966 and started his homebuilding career in Des Moines in 1970. He is an honorary lifetime member of the GDM Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club. He has built approximately 2,000 homes and townhomes in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Ames, Iowa City, Marion, Marshalltown, Ankeny, Altoona, Urbandale, and West Des Moines. Ted was the founder and president of Midland Homes which he started in 1984 and built into the largest homebuilder in Iowa. The company was recognized as one of the 300 largest Homebuilders in the U.S. Ted started Savannah Homes in December, 1996 when Midland Homes was sold. He has worked most of his 30 homebuilding years on affordable housing issues and the critical need for same. He has spoken extensively about this need in Cedar Rapids and Greater Des Moines. He is past chairman of the Developers Council of the GDM Homebuilders Association and currently focuses on and speaks about issues relating to urban sprawl. Ted and his wife Julia have two grown children; Tamara Senne of West Des Moines, Iowa and Ted IV of West Des Moines, Iowa. They have four grandchildren; Meredith, Jake, Annie and Rosie. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity.
Linda Aldrich is the Office Manager and Customer Service Representative for Savannah Homes. Starting her homebuilding career with Midland Homes in 1984, Linda brings 18 years experience of dealing with new home buyers to Savannah Homes.
Julia joined Savannah Homes in August 2009 as our Administrative Assistant. She brings with her 7 plus years of customer service skills to Savannah Homes along with mortgage and administrative skills. In her spare time she enjoys watching her finace, Jason Day, race IMCA stock cars, and spending time her her son Zachery, and her future step-daughter Shelby.
Mark Hyland joined Savannah Homes in March 1997. He brought with him varied backgrounds and experiences. Including single family and commerical framing, general maintenance of all kins, and certified locksmith work. He currently is responsible for multiple tasks throughtout the construction process, while assisting with schedules and deliveries.
Ken Meline is the Field Construction Superintendent and has the responsibility for the on site construction of all Savannah Homes townhomes and Single family dwellings. Ken recently joined Savannah Homes in the Fall of 2007. He started his home building career 8 years ago with another company working as a service technician and a building superintendent.
